Lake Bell accidentally dates Simon Pegg in 'Man Up' trailer

Lake Bell and Simon Pegg are up to some rom-com hijinks in the new trailer for Man Up. Bell, sporting a British accent, plays Nancy, a sandwich-eating introvert trying to “put [herself] out there.” Thanks to a cheesy-sounding book called Six Million People and You, Pegg’s Jack mistakes Nancy for his blind date, and—surprise—they hit it off, even though she’s pretending to be someone else. 

So, yes: Familiar tropes are at work here, but the result looks potentially charming. The movie is due out May 29 in the U.K.; an American release hasn’t yet been scheduled. The film, however, will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival April 19.
