Lainey Wilson, more, to headline Nashville's CBS special on New Year's Eve

Multiple generations of country superstars -- including multiple-time award-winning radio chart-topper Lainey Wilson -- will headline the live show and television broadcast for Dec. 31's Jack Daniel's New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big Bash at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.

Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year Wilson will be joined by recent Bridgestone Arena headliner and Grammy-nominated country star Thomas Rhett, plus the latest lineup of Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Lynyrd Skynyrd as headlining performers for the free public concert airing as part of the five-hour special on Dec. 31, starting at 6:30 p.m. CT on CBS and Paramount+.

"Big Bash will celebrate the start of 2024 with three incredible headliners who promise to deliver unforgettable performances," said President and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp Deana Ivey about the Bicentennial Park festivities home to the famed Music Note Drop at midnight.

"We are thrilled to once again join forces with CBS to spotlight Nashville's vibrant live music scene to the rest of the country. Beyond the economic impact, we also host this event as a gift back to the community to come together and enjoy great music in one of the many beautiful parks in the city."

The annual event is returning to CBS in a new multi-year deal.

"Building on what we have established over the last two years by focusing on our artists, the fans and the vibrancy of downtown Nashville, this year's lineup is shaping up to be our most exciting yet, with over a dozen artists and special guests still to be announced," said the event's Executive Producer Robert Deaton. "Nashville is quickly becoming THE destination for New Year's Eve!"

Regarding that previously-mentioned economic impact, the event attended by 200,000-plus people (more than half being Nashville-area residents generates nearly $40 million in direct visitor spending.
