Lady London and Dreezy have teamed up to level the relationship playing field in their new track “Yea Yea.” Produced by Nami and Nick Mira, the collaboration is a reminder that two can play that game.

“See, if my main ni**a tweak, my lil’ yeah yeah gon’ pick me up/Now he like, ‘How you gettin’ FaceTimes from Pizza Hut?'” rhymes the Chicago artist kicking off the first verse. “If you don’t know your worth, these ni**as try to lowball/So if that card decline, I’ma do the same to your phone call.”

The East Coast representative follows up “He keep askin’, ‘What are we?’ I tell him ‘I don’t know’/ That’s my lil’ yeah yeah, he never tell me no,” in the repetitive hook.

In the music video, directed by Sam Brave, the ladies are glammed up with an assortment of men at arms reach. The visual, especially a black-and-white toned scene is reminiscent of Destiny Child’s “Soldier” video, where the iconic girl group also laid out their wants and needs.

“Yea Yea” follows up Lady London’s viral “Pop Ya Sh*t,” freestyle issued earlier this year. Both tracks signify a new era for the rising rapper after releasing her last full-length project Lady Like: The Boss Tape in January 2022.

“I’m transitioning into original records and my own sound and artistry, and I’m very versatile in that space. I want people to develop an understanding of me as an artist and how many different places I can go in that artistry,” shared the Howard University alumna with ESSENCE Girls United that year.
