Lady Gaga Tries to Take Over ‘Late Late Show’

Lady Gaga walked onstage during the open of The Late Late Show With James Corden. And the Grammy-winning pop artist gave the perfect illusion that she was running the show. But apparently the real monster was Gaga for stealing Corden’s thunder. But before Gaga could continue, out rushed Corden, minus pants and suit jacket. “What the hell are you doing?” Corden exclaimed. “You just figured you’d come out and do my monologue? That’s like me trying to sing one of your songs. I could — brilliantly. This is serious. People love my monologue. They look forward to it all day!”

Gaga said she’s a fan of the show, enjoyed helping him with his commute, and thought she’d stick around. “This is my job,” Corden said. “I am at work. Thank you for getting me here, but now it’s time to go.” Per usual, Corden relented, asking if Gaga wanted to sit in with Reggie and band for whole show. She did, and she did, performing her song “A Yo” aka “Mirror on the Ceiling.”

The Late Late Show With James Corden airs weeknights at 12:37 p.m./11:37 p.m. CT on CBS.
