Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar Team Up for New Single
Lady Gaga took to Twitter this morning announce she and Kendrick Lamar have collaborated on a single, due Sept. 6.
“I am so excited to announce that a record I’ve been working on has now become a collaboration with @KendrickLamar for HIS ALBUM,” she tweeted to her 28 million followers.

Mother Monster later added, “@KendrickLamar and I are dropping the record on SEPT. 6. It’s called PARTYNAUSEOUS,” before the two started teasing the track. The Black Hippy rapper wrote to Gaga, “This song. Sounds like your ready to rally in Compton with me. is this true?” He also told the pop star to “take the lead” with revealing details to fans.
After their friendship was made public throughout the blogosphere last month, the two were spotted hanging out backstage at the Pitchfork Festival in Chicago. Kendrick caught up with the Source at the festival to speak on the relationship and a possible collaboration. It could happen, “God willing,” he said at the time. “For now I just like the friendship thing.”
Lamar’s major label debut album, “good kid, m.A.A.d city,” drops Oct. 2. Lady Gaga’s third studio album, meanwhile, will be named “ARTPOP,” but a release timeframe has not yet been announced.
