Lacey Chabert and Kristoffer Polaha Wrap Their First Christmas Movie Together

It may only be April but we're a mere six months away from a barrage of new Christmas movies on at least two networks—Hallmark and Great American Family. The former will likely have about 40 or maybe even more new movies across their networks. The Christmas Quest is latest Hallmark Christmas movie to wrap production and it stars perennial favorites Lacey Chabert and Kristoffer Polaha.

This marks the first time the two have teamed up for a Hallmark movie (though Polaha did have a cameo in Chabert's Haul Out the Holly).

In 2023, the two starred separately in two of the network's highest-rated cable movies—A Merry Scottish Christmas and A Biltmore Christmas.

What is The Christmas Quest about?

Hallmark takes a page from Indiana Jones in their latest movie! An archeologist (Chabert) and her ex-husband (Polaha), an expert in ancient Norse languages, are sent to Iceland at Christmastime to search for a legendary treasure. When others join in the hunt, the pair find themselves swept into a thrilling adventure as they race to keep it from falling into the wrong hands.

Meet the cast of The Christmas Quest

Lacey Chabert

Before her big break as Claudia Salinger on Party of Five, Chabert appeared on All My Children and in various commercials including one for Hi-C. Chabert also does a lot of voice work, providing voices for characters in shows like Harley Quinn, Harriet the Spy and Family Guy.

This is Chabert's fifteenth Christmas movie for Hallmark Media. Previous Hallmark movies include A Merry Scottish Christmas, Haul Out the Holly, Groundswell and The Wedding Veil trilogies.

Considering the height difference between the co-stars—Chabert is 5'2" and Polaha is 6'3"—we imagine a lot of apple boxes were used while filming The Christmas Quest.

Kristoffer Polaha

Prior to his shift to Hallmark, Polaha starred in several fan-favorite shows, including Valentine, Backstrom and Life Unexpected. For Hallmark, Polaha has starred in several movies, including A Biltmore Christmas, A Winning Team, A Dickens of a Holiday! and the Mystery 101 movie series. Other credits include The Shift, Harlan Coben's Shelter, Jurassic World Dominion and Wonder Woman 1984.

When does The Christmas Quest premiere?

An premiere date has yet to be announced, but we do know The Christmas Quest will be released during this year's Countdown to Christmas programming on Hallmark Channel.
