Labyrinth: The Ultimate Visual History exclusive images show how movie came to life

David Bowie died earlier this year, but he left his fans with troves of music and art, including a few fantastic film roles — the most memorable of which was probably playing Jareth the Goblin King in Labyrinth. This year also marks the 30th anniversary of Labyrinth, and in addition to BOOM! Studios’ three commemorative comic collections, Insight Editions is also releasing Labyrinth: The Ultimate Visual History next month. The book features behind-the-scenes imagery and in-depth looks at how the Jim Henson Company created such a unique fantasy world of creatures and puppets, and how stars Bowie and Jennifer Connelly brought their characters to life.

Check out an exclusive preview from Labyrinth: The Ultimate Visual History below. The book is in stores Oct. 18 and can be preordered here.
