Created by David Appelbaum, La Brea is a science fiction drama series airing on NBC. The plot revolves around the Harris family as they find themselves in a primeval world after a sinkhole opens up at the area of the La Brea Tar Pits and Wilshire Boulevard and swallows them along with hundreds of others. Now separated, Eve Harris, Gavin Harris, Izzy Harris, and Josh Harris try to find their way back to each other. Season 1 premiered on September 28, 2021, season 2 on September 27, 2022, and season 3 on January 9, 2024. Is there a La Brea Season 4 release date?
There is no La Brea Season 4 release date as the series concluded after three seasons.
In January 2023, NBC greenlit the third season of La Brea. At the time, there were speculations about possible writers’ and actors’ strikes, which ended up happening later in the year. This was reportedly the reason that season 3 has fewer episodes than the previous two seasons. In November 2023, it was confirmed that the third season would also be La Brea’s last.

Why La Brea Season 4 isn’t happening
