“L.A.'s Finest” Star Duane Martin Gets Engaged to Actress Ashley Marie Jones During Private Helicopter Ride: 'Wonderful Moment'

Martin popped the question to Jones while the couple enjoyed a scenic flight over Los Angeles

Duane Martin is flying high!

The 58-year-old actor revealed on Instagram over the weekend that he and actress and model Ashley Marie Jones are engaged following a romantic proposal during a private helicopter ride in California.

"She said YES 💍 ❤️," he declared in the caption of a post on Saturday featuring a montage of video clips of Jones, set to Thee Sacred Souls' "Can I Call You Rose?" hit.

"Meet my fiancée. God don’t make people like her in 3s. She’s rare. She’s a heart opener. Her spirit is cherry," he continued, adding, "I’m hugging gratitude tight 🙏🏽."

Jones commented on the post, "Excited to go on this journey with you. I love you big time ✨."

In a follow-up post on Sunday, Martin shared a video of the couple enjoying a scenic flight over Los Angeles when the L.A.'s Finest star surprised Jones by presenting her with a ring and popping the question. After she said "yes," the pair hugged and kissed, and then Martin slipped the diamond sparkler on Jones' finger.

"I wanted to share this wonderful moment with you guys 😊," Martin wrote in the post's caption. "Thank you all for your love and support."

Jones, who has appeared in Superstore and Lucifer, also shared the video on her own Instagram page, and revealed how the engagement was a doubly special occasion for her.

"This moment is surreal... 🤍🙏🏼 Wow, 2.2.24. A birthday surprise! 😍 Y’all, I’m a fiancée!!!" she wrote, before paying tribute to Martin.

"To such an amazing man. I value our connection; it’s at high altitude, high frequency, and filled with lots of laughter ✨ @duane_martin," she continued.

Martin's celebrity friends were quick to congratulate the couple in the comment section of the White Men Can't Jump star's proposal video post, including Red Table Talk's Adrienne Banfield-Norris, who wrote, "You put a ring on her! Huge congrats to you and Ash! We are so happy for you both❣️."

Rapper MC Lyte commented, "Incredible!!!! So happy and excited for you two!!!! Praying for the VERY BEST!!!! 🩷🩷."

Martin was previously wed to actress Tisha Campbell. The pair — who split in 2018 after more than 20 years of marriage — shares two sons, Xen, 22, and Ezekiel Czar, 14.
