L Festival Day 2: Jenni Rivera Hologram Duets With Daughters Chiquis and Jacqie & More Highlights

Day two of L Festival was just as genre-mixed as the first day with Jesse & Joy, J Balvin, Jenni Rivera‘s hologram, Los Tigres del Norte and Marco Antonio Solís all featuring in the lineup on March 19.

Grammy-winning brother-sister duo Jesse & Joy took the main stage to serenade the audience with “Ecos de amor,” “Espacio Sideral” and “Dueles.”

Following Jesse & Joy’s beautiful set, J Balvin took the stage to perform his reggaetón hits including “Ginza,” “Bobo,” “Safari,” “Sigo extrañándote,” “6AM” and “Ay vamos.”

While onstage, the chart-topping Colombian reggaetonero sent out a message of hope to his fans: “Never stop dreaming. Dreams come true if you work hard. Don’t let anyone stop you or put you down.”

Up next was the anticipated Jenni Rivera hologram duet with daughters Chiquis and Jacqie, but before they appeared onstage, a colorful performance featuring Mexican folkloric dancers and break dancers celebrated Mexican-American culture with both flags waving onstage.

Then, Chiquis and Jacqie took the stage for emotional duets accompanied by a mariachi, banda and a handful of Jenni Rivera impersonators wearing some of her most iconic looks. The hologram was created by Hologram USA and production was led by the late singer’s brother, Juan Rivera, who first debuted the hologram at the Hollywood Day of the Dead event in Oct.

After Rivera’s hologram spectacle, Los Tigres del Norte roared at L Fest with some of the group’s classics including “La jaula de oro,” “Contrabando y traición,” “Golpes en el corazón” and “La puerta negra.” The “Jefes de Jefes” didn’t leave the stage without singing their immigrant anthem “Somos más americanos,” dedicating it to the “unnamable man we just don’t like.”

To wrap up the second edition of L Festival at Pico Rivera was the iconic Marco Antonio Solís, who pleased the crowd with a medley of songs like “Necesito una compañera,” Morenita,” “La venia bendita,” “Tu carcel,” “Mi eterno amor secreto” and ended with “Más que tu amigo.”
