Kyra Sedgwick Shares Ultimate Beauty Fail: 'Brushed My Teeth with Hand Cream'

“And yes, it was nasty,” said the actress, who snapped a selfie after the incident involving a $26 hand cream

Kyra Sedgwick has hit a snag in her beauty routine.

The actress took to Instagram on Dec. 18 to share with her 630,000 followers: “Brushed my teeth with hand cream.”

She concluded, “Guess that’s what happens when you take your glasses off.”

In fairness to the star, the packaging, from brand Grown Alchemist, bears a striking resemblance to a toothpaste tube.

And while the hand cream at the center of her beauty fail has a pleasant vanilla and orange peel scent, it understandably had a “nasty” taste, according to Sedgwick.

Sedgwick, 58, and husband Kevin Bacon, 65, are often letting friends in on life away behind the scenes.

In November the two channeled David Beckham and Victoria Beckham by recreating a moment in the soccer champ’s Nexflix documentary in which he joined his wife in the kitchen as she danced while washing dishes.

Over the summer, they hung out with their social media famous goats while singing on the Forth of July.

Bacon and Sedgwick celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary this year. The couple, who share son Travis, 34, and daughter Sosie, 31, met on the set of the PBS movie Lemon Sky in 1987 and were engaged by the end of that year.

Both marked the milestone with sweet tributes.

"35 years feels like a heartbeat. #Anniversary," Bacon captioned a throwback photo.

Meanwhile, Sedgwick shared a Polaroid and heartfelt memory of her own.

"It was 1987 — on the set of 'Lemon Sky' — I met a man named Kevin. Happy 35 my love."
