"It's a deep, complex, and difficult art form that you all have given yourself over to," Sedgwick told the "Drag Race" season 16 queens.

One year after Kevin Bacon publicly praised RuPaul's Drag Race and spoke out against anti-drag legislation in America, his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, appeared on the show as a guest judge — and revealed to the cast of queens that her family has a sweet connection to the art form.

The 58-year-old Closer actress made her Main Stage debut on Friday night's episode of the reality competition series, sitting alongside RuPaul to judge the fan-favorite Snatch Game celebrity impersonation challenge before heading backstage to give the season 16 queens a pep talk before this week's elimination.

"You're just incredible. I've always been a huge fan of drag," Sedgwick told the cast — who gathered around her while perched on couches — during the Untucked aftershow. "I actually took my son, Travis, to his first drag show when he was eight. I mean, it's a deep, complex, and difficult art form that you all have given yourself over to. The costumes, the presentation, and then trying to come up with a character. It's wildly impressive. It's like your own writer, director, producer, actor, and financier. It's amazing."

Sedgwick and Bacon welcomed their son, Travis, in 1989, one year after they married. Travis grew up to become a composer and musician, and currently leads the goth band Contracult. (The couple also shares a daughter, Smile star Sosie.)

In 2023, Bacon expressed gratitude for Drag Race's musical tribute to his beloved movie Footloose, after the season 15 cast performed a "Rusical" theater production called Wigloose, which took inspiration from the 1984 film — and even saw one contestant, Loosey LaDuca, play a character named Heaven Bacon.

"Big shoutout to @rupaulsdragrace's Wigloose: the RuSical (and props to Heaven Bacon)," the 65-year-old star wrote on his Instagram Story at the time, tagging Loosey in his post (who responded by saying, "Well, I'm dead" on her own page).

He later added a note of support for the queens amid a wave of anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation that swept the nation in the months prior.

"With all the recent anti-drag bills, this came at just the right time," Bacon continued of the production, which followed last year's queens as they portrayed kids living in a small town run by officials who sought to ban drag. "Drag is an art and drag is a right."

Sedgwick's guest spot made her the latest in a long line of A-list allies who've joined Drag Race this year, with Charlize Theron and Melissa McCarthy dropping by to lend their support for the art form in recent weeks as well.

RuPaul's Drag Race season 16 continues Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
