Two decades since her first victory, the “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” singer nabbed her second Grammy for her summer smash hit “Padam Padam,” winning best pop dance recording last Sunday. Her 2023 album Tension made her the only female artist to have an LP reach No. 1 in five different decades on the United Kingdom’s charts.

The pop icon, who has sold more than 80 million records in her nearly 50-year career, attributed her longevity to her queer fanbase. “I would say thank you for being with me for such a long time now, through thick and thin,” she told E!’s Live from the Red Carpet host Laverne Cox at the Grammys. “We ride the highs, the lows and the in-betweens, and to know that we've got each other's backs and this feels like the start of the next era.”

Wilson has had a similarly accomplished year, cementing herself as a mainstay of country music. Her fourth record Bell Bottom Country won best country album at the Grammys, and she was named entertainer of the year at the 2023 CMA Awards.

With over 700 million streams and four No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, Wilson has more than earned her PCA nominations for female artist of the year and female country artist of the year.

"I've been like preparing for the race and I finally entered it and now I'm running it," the "Watermelon Moonshine" singer told PEOPLE on the Grammys red carpet. "I'm right where I'm supposed to be."

In addition, Grammy-winning artist Lenny Kravitz will perform multiple songs from his acclaimed catalog and receive the music icon award. Actor and comedian Adam Sandler will be honored with the people’s icon award, previously given to stars like Halle Berry and Jennifer Lopez.

The 2024 People’s Choice Awards airs live from Santa Barbara’s Barker Hangar on NBC, Peacock and E! at 8 p.m. ET on Feb. 18.
