A Tough Split

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott announced their split back in October, with Jenner taking to Twitter to assure fans that they were dedicated to making co-parenting their 1-year-old daughter, Stormi, their priority.

"Travis and i are on great terms and our main focus right now is Stormi ‼️ our friendship and our daughter is priority"

Since then there have been rumors that they were getting back together, but nothing substantial has come from that. Jenner has also been linked to Drake since breaking up with Scott.

What Went Wrong?

While there has been little direct insight into why the couple broke up, a source told Entertainment Tonight that they were in very different places in their lives.

"Kylie is young, but she really wants the traditional family life. She has seen her older sisters with big families and multiple kids and she wants the same. She loved being at home with Travis and their daughter, Stormi Webster, more than anything. But right now, their priorities are different."

"It was hard for him to be coming home every night to be with the family and putting Stormi to bed. That’s not where he is in his life. It made Kylie insecure and anxious. The last few months, Kylie felt they were drifting and she was never really sure what was going on."

Her Grandma Weighs In

Kylie's grandmother, Esther Jenner, offered her opinion on the split, telling The Sun that she thought Scott should have proposed.

"I was sympathizing with Kylie a short time ago about the breakup with the baby’s father [Travis].

Kylie just smoothed over it real quickly, [saying] ‘We’re both going to be good parents to her’ like in defense almost.

But that’s what happens really, so often. Young people today, they think they can live together, start a family together, without being married, it doesn’t work! I don’t know."

Dedicated To Co-Parenting

Jenner explained that she and her granddaughter were very close and that she enjoyed watching Stormi grow up.

Kylie and I keep in touch, we both have iPhones and Facetime. She puts the baby on the FaceTime and I can see her progress, she’s a darling little child."

Ultimately that's what's important. A source told People that Jenner and Scott are doing their best to make things as smooth as possible for Stormi.

"They celebrate all the big holidays together with Stormi. Kylie and Travis are good. They get along and seem happy whenever they are together. They are all about making sure Stormi has a happy life. They are not officially back together, but you can tell that they still love each other."
