Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lawrence open up about plastic surgery: 'I'm doing makeup'

Kylie Jenner is opening up about being accused of getting plastic surgery in an interview with pal Jennifer Lawrence.

The Oscar-winning actress and known "The Kardashians" super-fan interviewed the reality television star-turned-beauty mogul in a story published in Interview magazine Monday.

In the interview, the "No Hard Feelings" star asked Jenner about her famous lip contouring technique, which the Kylie Cosmetics founder said started because she wanted "big, fat, juicy lips."

"No one taught me. When I started doing that, I wasn’t really working with makeup artists and stuff," Jenner said, adding that eventually she "did end up getting lip fillers."

The conversation led to each sharing their experiences with being accused of undergoing plastic surgery.

"It's incredible what makeup can do because I work with Hung (Vanngo), who overlines the lip, and I call him a plastic surgeon, because everybody in the last few months since I’ve been working with him is convinced that I had eye surgery," said Lawrence. "I didn’t have eye surgery. I’m doing makeup."

"Apparently I’ve had full plastic surgery," the actress added.

"Oh my god. You know, you’ve been looking amazing," Jenner responded. "I’ve been seeing the pictures. It doesn’t look like that."

Jenner and Lawrence also shared how unfair it is to be compared with pictures of their younger selves.

"I’ll see before and after photos when I’m 12 years old versus 26 and my eyebrows are filled differently," said Jenner. "I have contour on. I’m like, 'How can you compare my 12-year-old face and say I’ve gotten my jaw shaved and eyelids removed?' I’m like, 'What are we talking about?'"

"I started at 19, so I get the before and after pictures from when I’m 19 to 30 and I’m like, 'I grew up. I lost baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I’m aging,'" Lawrence said. "Everybody thought I had a nose job, and I'm like, 'I've had the exact same nose. My cheeks got smaller. Thank you for bringing it up.'"

Jenner has previously opened up about plastic surgery regrets.

In an episode of "The Kardashians," she revealed she "got my breasts done" when she was 19, shortly before giving birth to daughter Stormi.

"I just wish I never got them done to begin with," Jenner told friend Anastasia Karanikolaou. "(I) would recommend anyone who is thinking about it to wait until after children."

Jenner further reflected on how motherhood has affected her views on plastic surgery.

"I have a daughter too. I would be heartbroken if she wanted to get her body done at 19," Jenner said. "I want to be the best mom and best example for her. I wish I could be her and do it all differently, ‘cause I wouldn’t touch anything."

After revealing in a recent "Kardashians" episode that she and former best friend Jordyn Woods maintained a low-key friendship for years, Jenner told Lawrence more about the friendship fracture after social media exploded with allegations that Woods had an encounter with Tristan Thompson while he was dating Jenner's older sister, Khloe Kardashian.

"We’ve recently seen that you are friends with Jordyn again. How is that? How did that happen? What up?" Lawrence asked.

Jenner replied, "Jordyn and I, we always stayed in touch throughout the years, and we would meet up at my house and catch up and just talk through everything. We never fully cut each other off, and one day, naturally, we were like, we want to get sushi and we don’t want to hide anymore."

In 2019, Woods allegedly had an affair with Thompson, who shares 5-year-old daughter True and 1-year-old son Tatum with Kardashian. In a conversation with Jada Pinkett Smith on her series "Red Table Talk" at the time, Woods explained that Thompson had given her a closed-mouth kiss as she left a party at his house but asserted that she wasn't the reason for the couple breaking up.

Woods said that she didn't initially mention the kiss to her best friend, Jenner, explaining, "I just knew how much turmoil that was going on; I was just like, 'Let me not throw more fuel on the fire.' I was trying to protect Khloe's heart."

This summer, Jenner and Woods made headlines when they were spotted going out to dinner four years after the cheating scandal.

Jenner explained to Lawrence why having some time apart in the public eye was beneficial.

"There’s a learning lesson in everything, and I think that in a weird way, everything happens how it’s supposed to happen. We were so attached at the hip that we needed space to grow into the people that we were supposed to be," Jenner said.

"I needed that independence and that confidence because she was like my security blanket for so long."
