Several Arizona athletes took to social media on Friday in the aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that Americans no longer have a constitutional right to abortion.
The court's ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization overturned Roe vs. Wade and allows states to set their own course on abortion laws
Many sounded off on the decision.
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray tweeted: "No one should be able to force their beliefs on anyone’s body, that is not right. Sending love to our women."

Brianna Turner: 'Something doesn't sit right in my spirit'
Phoenix Mercury player Brianna Turner sent out the following messages on Twitter: "Maybe in the next election we should have a vote to eliminate the Supreme Court. 9 people with the power to make generational decisions for 330 million people. There’s gotta be a better way.
"Something doesn’t sit right in my spirit as we speak of what’s constitutional vs what’s not knowing that the constitution was written by a group of slave owners. I know there’s been amendments overtime but our founding document was doomed from the start.
"States issuing trigger bans on abortion should probably bring that same energy to addressing subsidized healthcare, daycare, maternity leave, formula shortages, etc.
"Anti-maskers real quiet today. Temporary requirements to wear a face mask in public spaces during a global pandemic? Complete outrage. Forcing people to give birth? Complete satisfaction. It’s the conditional bodily autonomy for me"

Athletes, teams and sports organizations from around the country shared their thoughts on social media:
This ruling provides a treacherous pathway to abortion bans that reinforce economic, social and political inequalities and could lead to higher rates of maternal mortality while eviscerating rights to reproductive freedom for everyone. #BansOffOurBodies pic.twitter.com/ND8kcx3viL

The Supreme Court has struck down Roe v. Wade, which for nearly 50 years has protected the right to abortion.
This decision will not end abortion.
What it will end is safe and legal access to this vital medical procedure.

I feel like I am back in a totalitarian country where I grew up- Czech Republic, now a thriving democracy- and I am feeling disoriented. After Soviet Union fell and Czechoslovakia and all Soviet bloc countries were freed I thought what a world we can now have. And now?😱😱😱

I am appalled at what has happened today regarding Roe vs Wade. Rarely, if ever, do I get political on Twitter but this is insane. Cancel me if you'd like, but this is a grave and it is unilaterally unjust.
