Kyle Richards Confirms Return to “RHOBH”, Says She's 'Sure' Estranged Husband Mauricio Umansky Will Appear as 'He’s Obviously Family'

Richards also commented on Dorit Kemsley and Paul “PK” Kemsley's recent separation announcement, saying, "I feel terribly for them"

Kyle Richards is "sure" her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky will be making a return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for the show's upcoming 14th season.

On Tuesday, May 14, the Bravo star, 55, appeared on an Amazon Live session and confirmed that she will be returning to the hit reality series.

"I was torn just because it's been a long time since I've been on the show, and last year was hard, and I just - I really wanted to get back to having some fun on the show, and I just needed some more time since the reunion," said Richards.

The television personality said returning to the show "was a much harder decision to make this year than any of the other years before."

"At the end of the day, the crew and everybody are like my family," she said. "When I do finally decide not to come back, it's going to be hard because it has been such a part of my life for so long. And like I said, the crew are like a family for me.”

In July 2023, a source close to Richards and Umansky, 53, told PEOPLE that the couple had separated after 27 years of marriage.

The same month, Richards confirmed their split in an Amazon Live session, telling viewers that her family felt "all felt better" after the news became public.

"Actually, all — our daughters and Mauricio and me — we all felt better after because so many people were speculating and making up stories, and it just was getting out of control," Richards said.

Being that the fallout in their marriage played out in season 13, she said in Tuesday's stream that she was hoping to have "fun" and "not having as difficult of a season as I did last year."

Speaking to whether Umansky will join the new season, Richards said, "I'm sure he will because you know he is obviously family." PEOPLE reached out to Bravo but they do not comment on casting.

Elsewhere in the stream, Richards commented on Dorit Kemsley and Paul “PK” Kemsley's recent decision to separate following nine years of marriage, saying, "I feel bad for them, obviously you know, going through that is difficult enough without everybody wanting to know all the details. So, you know, I feel terribly for them."

Richards and Umansky share daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia, 24, and Portia, 16. She is also a mom to daughter Farrah Brittany, 35, from her previous marriage with Guraish Aldjufrie.

During a Tuesday, May 14, appearance on the Bitch Bible podcast, Richards revealed that she and Umansky are no longer living under the same roof.
