AMC has shared a new teaser for Orphan Black: Echoes, giving fans their first look at the upcoming Orphan Black sequel series. Check out the teaser below.
The clip begins with a disoriented Krysten Ritter awakening to a disorienting setting, being asked her name and what year it is by a woman in a white lab coat. When Ritter inquires if she was asleep, the woman responds: “Not exactly.” From there, a montage of images — from bloody knives to futuristic skylines, sci-fi medical laboratories, and more — sets the tone, preparing viewers for another adventure in search of meaning, identity, and, of course, answers.
Orphan Black: Echoes was initially slated for 2023 — 10 years after the original — but has since been pushed back. The teaser gives no official release date, but does state that the show will be “coming in 2024.” Watch it below.
The series was first announced a while back, when AMC indicated that a new show would be created to tell a new story within the world of the original series. Since then, Anna Fishko has been revealed as a writer and executive producer for the series, and John Fawcett — co-creator of the original series — will direct and executive produce too. Ritter, David Fortier, Ivan Schneeberg, Katie O’Connell Marsh, Nick Nantell, and Kerry Appleyard will all receive executive producer credits as well.
