Guess what, #CloneClub? The Orphan Black cloning conspiracy is never truly over.

AMC has unveiled the first trailer for Orphan Black: Echoes, the spinoff series starring Krysten Ritter as an unlikely heroine who discovers a dark secret about her true identity. Sound familiar?

Similar to the flagship series, the spinoff follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other's lives to slowly unravel the mystery of their identity. But this time, the 10-episode sci-fi thriller is set in the near future.

Ritter, known for her work in Breaking Bad, Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, and Marvel's Jessica Jones stars as Lucy, "a woman with an unimaginable origin story, trying to find her place in the world." The trailer sees her waking to to questions from a scientist, no memory of her identity, and flashes of a bloody past.

"What's wrong with me?" Lucy demands. "Why don't I know who I am?" The response raises more questions than it answers: "You've been through a procedure."

Based on the final shot of Ritter emerging from a vat of goo — and everything else we know about this clone-filled world — Lucy could be just the beginning of Ritter's role in the series. There's a good chance she'll take on more character's along the way. During her tenure as the lead of Orphan Black, Tatiana Maslany played 17 different clone characters across 50 episodes of the five season series. The weighty role earned her three Lead Actress nominations at the Emmys, and one win.

The spinoff also stars Rya Kihlstedt as a tough neuroscientist looking for a breakthrough in her research; Avan Jogia, as Lucy's boyfriend; James Hiroyuki Liao as Darros, a powerful billionaire with a troubled past; Reed Diamond as Darros' head of a corporate security; Keeley Hawes as a sensitive scientist; and Amanda Fix as a teen trying to find herself.

Anna Fishko (The Society, Fear the Walking Dead) is creator, writer, showrunner, and executive producer of Orphan Black: Echoes, alongside John Fawcett, the co-creator of the original series.

Orphan Black: Echoes will debut on AMC, AMC+, and BBC America in 2024.
