Kristin Cavallari Is Already Facing Backlash After Debuting Her New (& Much Younger) Beau

Looking from the outside, being a celebrity looks quite fun. From red carpets to million-dollar mansions, it seems like the life most people only dream of. That is, however, until we see the amount of hate and backlash celebrities can get by just sharing their lives with the world.
Most recently, The Hills alum Kristin Cavallari got a taste of how negative and toxic social media can be after debuting her new beau Mark Estes. For some context, Cavallari is 37 years old and shares three kids with ex-husband Jay Cutler while Estes, a former athlete turned model, is 24.

On Instagram, Cavallari debuted their relationship with a sweet selfie of her and Estes during a trip to Los Cabos, Mexico. “He makes me happy 🤍,” Cavallari wrote in the caption.
The comment section, however, seems less than pleased with the 13-year age gap. “What in the teenage boy is this,” commented one follower. “She’s finally posting pics of her kids,” another user joked.
Estes then went on to also share their relationship on social media with a TikTok of the two lip-syncing in swimsuits to Gloriana’s 2012 hit “(Kissed You) Good Night.” In addition to singing the words, the two are seen hugging, and kissing and, at the end, Estes picks Cavallari up while she wraps her legs around him.
In the comments, while it’s a little more positive than Cavallari’s comment section, followers are also expressing their shock. “Well this is unexpected,” wrote one user. “I refuse to believe this is real,” wrote another.
But, despite all the hate the couple has been getting, an insider revealed that the two are focusing on their connection and are “unfazed” by the negative attention. “They’re two consenting adults who like each other, so who cares?” a source told Page Six. “Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but Kristin and Mark aren’t paying attention to the noise.”
Previously, sources revealed that Cavallari and Estes’ connection was still brand new. “Kristin thinks Mark is super hot. He’s very flirtatious, and she’s loving it,” a source told the outlet. “They were down in Mexico for just a few days but had a lot of fun together. It’s still new.” Let’s hope the negative attention doesn’t blow out their spark before it even begins.
