Barb and Star are going to Vista Del Mar a bit sooner than expected.

The new comedy from Oscar-nominated Bridesmaids screenwriters Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar has dropped a colorful, quirky teaser ahead of its new release date, as Lionsgate has moved moved the film up from its originally planned summer rollout for a digital debut beginning Feb. 12.

Wiig and Mumolo lead the film as the titular pals, who, after years of friendship and sharing a home together, embark on a wild adventure when they decide to leave their small Midwestern town for the first time ever in pursuit of a sunny vacation, though they ultimately cross paths with an evil villain's dangerous plot.

The teaser trailer doesn't reveal Wiig or Mumolo in character, but it does begin with close-up shots of their wigs as they discuss the plot.

"Barb, what if we had a movie?" Wiig asks. "Gosh, I can almost see our trailer now."

Soon, the pair's ballet flats are dancing in-step to Madonna's "Holiday" before the gals are sporting bright kaftans, rolling around on a beach, and launching into musical numbers at their tropical destination. Oh, and there's a shot of costar Jamie Dornan ripping off his shirt.

"It is such an honor that Kristen and Annie have entrusted us with their follow-up to Bridesmaids. Their projects offer a rare combination of big laughs, big heart, and female empowerment that everyone will love — men and women, young and old," Lionsgate Motion Picture Group President Nathan Kahane previously said of the film ahead of its initially planned 2020 theatrical bow. "Barb and Star are true cultural icons in the making, and as they embark on this hilarious adventure, we are more than thrilled to partner with Kristen, Annie and Gloria Sanchez on what we know is going to be a great ride."

Find out what it all means when Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar — also starring Damon Wayans, Jr., Fortune Feimster, Rose Abdoo, Vanessa Bayer, Phyllis Smith, and Bridesmaids actress Wendi McLendon-Covey — hits all digital rental services beginning Feb. 12. Watch the teaser trailer above.
