Kristen Wiig Returning To Host ‘SNL’

Saturday Night Live has upped its cred this season first with tapping Alec Baldwin to portray Donald Trump during the election, and then last week when it unveiled Dave Chappelle and Tribe Called Quest will host and provide the music this coming weekend. The venerable late-night staple continues its hot streak today, announcing former castmember Kristen Wiig will return for her second stint as host November 19.

The xx will make their musical guest debut on Wiig’s night, with the band’s third album I See You set to street on January 13.

Wiig spent eight seasons on the show and has secured her place in SNL lore with characters like Gilly, the Target Lady, Doonese Maharelle of the Maharelle Sisters and of course Bjork.
