Kristen Wiig Does Entire Interview as Peyton Manning on ‘Tonight Show’
On Thursday’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy said that he had a special guest, announcing, “Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for the quarterback of the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos. Peyton Manning!” The crowd cheered only to see Kristen Wiig walk out dressed in Peyton Manning football gear. She even carried a ball, but didn’t exactly nail the celebratory spike.
Kristen stayed in character for the entire interview. When Jimmy asked what was going through her head in the final seconds of the Super Bowl, she said, “I’m thinking … I’m so far from the line…” She added, “I gotta get the ball to the guy.”
They moved on to a round of quick-fire questions. Favorite pregame meal: french fries and toast. Favorite color: greenish. Favorite clothing store: Sears.
Peyton/Kristen finished off the interview by showing off that canon of an arm. She threw a football at a target — and again, didn’t quite nail it.
