Kristen Wiig & Avi Rothman Just Welcomed the Cutest Twin Babies in the World

We all know Kristen Wiig is full of surprises — but we definitely didn’t see this one coming! While Wiig never publicly shared her plans of becoming a mother, we’ve now learned that the actress and her fiancé Avi Rothman welcomed twins earlier this year via surrogate. Wiig and Rothman are now mom and dad to two beautiful babies, and new photos of the family out for a stroll are melting our hearts.

Wiig and Rothman have been engaged since August 2019, and had been dating for three years prior. This ultra-private couple seems in no hurry to get hitched, and has clearly put growing their family ahead of any wedding plans. Page Six spotted the couple out for a stroll with one baby strapped to each chest, and these bouncing bundles of joy are everything.

Many think that Wiig was hinting at her plans to become a mom on a recent SNL monologue for Mother’s Day. “I don’t know if I truly appreciated my mom the first 45 years of my life,” Wiig said. “But this year I’m feeling especially grateful for her advice, her love. I’m so thankful for all the things she’s taught me, like preparing me to be a mom myself.”

We’ve only gotten a quick glimpse, of course, but it looks like Wiig and Rothman are settling right in to this parenting thing. We’re wishing mom and dad all the luck in the world as they take care of these newborns through a scary time in life, and we hope to see more of these bundles of joy whenever they’re ready.
