Kristen Stewart Takes a Trip Down ‘Twilight’ Memory Lane on ‘Ellen’

Kristen Stewart joined Ellen for a trip down memory lane all the way back to 2011. The last time Stewart was on the show was with the entire cast of Twilight: Breaking Dawn. When shown a photo of the cast on the show that day, Stewart likened it to looking at a college yearbook.

“I look at those photos and I feel like I’m looking at a college yearbook. It was just after my high school experience would have been, so it feels like just after. I don’t jump right back into those memories, but as soon as you see a picture, it’s like yesterday,” Stewart said.

The Twilight franchise is one the most successful movie franchises in history, earning over $3 billion in worldwide box office, and turning Stewart into a household name. Stewart was only 18 at the time of the first Twilight movie’s release, and talked about the effect the popularity of the film had on her at such a young age.

“Something that I really invested in mattered to so many people, it was something personal became not the most personal thing. It was awesome because to share that is great. But at the same time, I was 17 or 18 when that all went down, and that’s the most terrible, uncomfortable, weird… you’re 17 years old,” Stewart recalled.

When asked what that time in her life meant to her, Stewart joked, “Really uncomfortable hair extensions.”
