Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's Relationship Timeline

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have marked some big relationship milestones since getting together.

After having a Las Vegas wedding without an official marriage license in April and getting legally married in Santa Barbara, the couple had an extravagant wedding ceremony in Italy on May 22.

The two exchanged vows surrounded by red roses and loved ones, including their six total children: Kourtney's sons Mason and Reign and daughter Penelope and Travis' son Landon, daughter Alabama, and stepdaughter Atiana.

The couple first started dating in 2021, but they have known each other for years.

In addition to living in the same Calabasas, California, community, Barker has previously made brief cameos on Keeping Up with the Kardashians (and makes a few appearances on the Kardashians' new Hulu series).

Since going public with their romance, they have wasted no time marking relationship milestones, including PDA-filled red carpet appearances, ringing in birthdays together, and getting tattoos in honor of each other.

The duo has also joined their respective families, taking various trips with their kids and celebrating holidays together.

January 2021: Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker start dating

After being friends for years, things turned romantic between Kardashian and Barker in early 2021, with a source telling PEOPLE in January, "They've been dating for about a month or two. Travis has liked her for a while."

A month after news of their relationship broke, the couple confirmed their romance themselves on social media. Shortly after celebrating their first Valentine's Day together, the two went Instagram official as Kardashian shared a photo of them holding hands on her grid.

April 5, 2021: Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker take a joint family trip with their kids

In April, the couple brought their families together as they enjoyed a snowy getaway in Deer Valley, Utah. Each star is a parent of three: Kardashian shares Mason, 12, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7 with her ex Scott Disick, while Barker is father to his 18-year-old son Landon, 16-year-old daughter Alabama, and his 23-year-old stepdaughter Atiana, all of whom he shares with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

A month prior to their vacation, Barker raved about his romance with Kardashian on The Drew Barrymore Show, explaining that it's much easier dating a fellow parent. "I'm spending time with a woman who's a great mom, who's a great friend and you don't have to worry about any of those things," he said. "It just comes natural — it's like a maturity thing."

April 2021: Travis Barker gets Kourtney Kardashian's name tattooed on his chest

That same month, Barker made his love for Kardashian permanent by getting her name tattooed on his chest. Barker has since gotten a handful of other tattoos in honor of Kardashian, including her lips on his bicep and the words "I love you" written in Kardashian's handwriting. (She's also inked him herself!)

April 18, 2021: Kourtney Kardashian celebrates her birthday with Travis Barker

Kardashian had Barker by her side as she rang in her 42nd birthday on April 18. The Blink 182 musician penned an extra special tribute to her, which included his first-ever photos of the couple on social media.

"I F-- LOVE YOU! 🖤," Barker captioned the PDA-filled slideshow, featuring multiple photos of the pair kissing and embracing. "YOU'RE A BLESSING TO THIS WORLD. HAPPY BIRTHDAY @kourtneykardash."

Aug. 14, 2021: Travis Barker takes his first flight since his 2008 plane crash with Kourtney Kardashian

In August, Kardashian supported Barker for a milestone life moment as he took his first airplane ride since his deadly 2008 plane crash, which killed 4 people and left Barker with third-degree burns on more than half of his body.

"It's a huge deal that Travis flew to Cabo. The plane crash many years ago was extremely traumatizing. He has needed a lot of help to get to this point," a source told PEOPLE. "Kourtney has been very supportive. She never pushed for him to fly. They have managed to travel in the US without having to fly and Kourtney has been totally fine with it."

Barker later opened up about the experience in an interview with NYLON in September 2021, adding that he felt "invincible" with Kardashian by his side.

"I made a deal with her that she had just said to me, 'I would love to do so much traveling with you. I want to go to Italy with you. I want to go to Cabo with you. I want to go to Paris with you. I want to go to Bora Bora with you,'" he recalled. "And I said, 'Well, when the day comes you want to fly, I'm telling you I'll do it with you. I would do anything with you. And just give me 24 hours notice.' And that's what she did."

Sept. 12, 2021: Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker make their red carpet debut as a couple

After many social media posts, Kardashian and Barker made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2021 MTV VMAs. For the special event, the couple donned matching black outfits as they held hands and shared a kiss for the cameras.

Oct. 17, 2021: Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker get engaged

A month after their public outing, Kardashian and Barker took their relationship to the next level by getting engaged. Kardashian announced the exciting news by sharing a handful of photos from Barker's romantic beachside proposal with the caption, "forever @travisbarker."

Barker popped the question with a gorgeous diamond ring that he created with jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz. "It's a flawless, beautifully cut diamond stone," Schwartz told PEOPLE, adding, "I worked on it with Travis and he was a really big part of it. He was really hands-on in the whole making of it. It's gorgeous and they're happy."

Nov. 14, 2021: Travis Barker celebrates his birthday with Kourtney Kardashian

In November, Kardashian celebrated Barker's 46th birthday with a PDA-filled birthday tribute on Instagram. "I f------ love you more than anything. My favorite everything," she captioned the collection of images. "Happy birthday to you my baby!"

In the comment section, Barker replied, "You're a dream come true, my soul mate my everything I LOVE YOU."

March 2022: Kourtney Kardashian reveals Travis Barker will be part of the Kardashians' Hulu series

In March, Kardashian opened up about her family's new Hulu series, noting that while Barker will be part of the show, he wouldn't be her main storyline.

"I definitely hold my relationship really close. It's so sacred to me and I am very protective of it. I think I've learned a lot of lessons," Kardashian told Variety. "There is a lot of us on there, and we've had such a good time doing it because we have such a good time when we're together, but I definitely want to protect it as much as I can. But also, this is my life."

During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in April, Kris Jenner joked that her daughter and Barker make out for "98% of the new show."

"Of course, the minute we start filming, a million things are happening," she said. "Kylie's having a baby, Kourtney is dating Travis Barker and gets engaged, Kim gets SNL. I mean, every single day there was either drama or something crazy going on," she added.

April 4, 2022: Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have a Las Vegas wedding

Following their appearance at the 2022 Grammys, the couple had a Las Vegas wedding at the One Love Wedding Chapel. Kardashian later confirmed that they didn't have a marriage license for their Las Vegas wedding.

One Love Wedding Chapel owner Marty Frierson told PEOPLE that an Elvis Presley impersonator officiated the ceremony, which took place at 1:45 a.m. on Monday and lasted about 30 minutes.

"They came, got married, tossed the bouquet in the driveway, and danced to Elvis," said Frierson. "They showed a lot of love and had a lot of fun."

During an episode of The Kardashians, which aired in October 2022, Kardashian revealed that she was "blackout" drunk for most of the evening.

"I didn't even remember Elvis sang to me walking down the aisle," she said. "I didn't remember I had a bouquet."

The reality star added: "I did throw up after, though, and took my top off and unbuttoned my pants and had to walk back through the hotel with a million people taking my photo. I was a hot slob kebab."

On April 7, Kardashian was joined by her son Reign as well as Barker and his kids Alabama, Landon, and stepdaughter Atiana at the Los Angeles premiere of The Kardashians. The happy family posed for a handful of photos together on the carpet.

April 18, 2022: Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker celebrate her 43rd birthday with a family trip to Disneyland

For her 43rd birthday on April 18, Kardashian celebrated by taking a trip to Disneyland. She was joined by Barker, her youngest son Reign Aston, and Barker's three children — daughter Alabama Luella, son Landon Asher, and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya.

"Grateful for all of the blessings God has given me on my 43rd year of life," the Poosh founder wrote alongside the carousel of images from the magical outing. "🥰😊❤️‍🔥 heart full."

April 30, 2022: Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker take a trip to Italy as they plan their wedding

At the end of April, the two jetted off to Italy for a trip that was "wedding-related," according to a PEOPLE source.

"Kourtney and Travis had a wonderful trip to Italy. Their first stop in Milan was wedding-related," the insider says. "They are getting married soon."

The source added that after wedding planning, the two "also vacationed in Lake Como for two days."

May 2, 2022: Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker make their Met Gala debut

On May 2, they attended their first Met Gala as a couple in coordinating looks, including matching black skirts.

"We're in Thom Browne and I'm basically like a deconstructed version of [Travis's] outfit," she told La La Anthony on Vogue's red carpet live stream.

May 15, 2022: Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker get legally married

On May 15, the pair got legally married in Santa Barbara with a few close friends and family members in attendance.

"They had to legally get married first ahead of their big Italian wedding, which is happening very soon," the source tells PEOPLE. "All the details are set and the whole family, including all the kids, are very excited."

May 22, 2022: Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have a wedding ceremony in Italy

On Sunday, May 22, the couple tied the knot again during an intimate wedding ceremony in Portofino, Italy. The two exchanged vows surrounded by red roses and loved ones, including their six total children: Kourtney's sons Mason and Reign and daughter Penelope and Travis' son Landon, daughter Alabama, and stepdaughter Atiana.

The wedding celebration spanned the course of several days, starting with a dinner party at Ristorante Puny on Friday evening, followed by a visit to the Abbey of San Fruttuoso for a special lunch on Saturday. The guests then enjoyed dinner and dancing late into the night at Villa San Bartolomeo, part of the Dolce & Gabbana complex of properties which are all called L'Ulivetta.

June 19, 2022: Kourtney Kardashian's kids celebrate Travis Barker on Father's Day

The day after Father's Day, Barker posted sweet pictures of cards he received from his wife Kardashian's kids — Penelope and Reign — whom she shares with her ex Scott Disick.

"You are so so nice and kind," wrote Penelope, who drew eight hearts at the bottom of the card the word "family" written underneath.

She even included an adorably misspelled compliment for her stepdad: "You are so amazing you are the beast. You are the beast drummer ever."

"You make my mom happy!" she concluded. "Happy Fathers Day. Love Penelope."

June 28, 2022: Travis Barker is taken to the hospital with Kourtney Kardashian by his side

In a photo obtained by TMZ, the Blink-182 drummer was seen getting wheeled into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on a stretcher with Kardashian trailing close behind.

Barker's daughter, Alabama, asked her followers to "please send your prayers" in an Instagram Story shortly after her dad was reportedly taken to the hospital.

September 3, 2022: Kourtney Kardashian joins Travis Barker at a tribute concert for Taylor Hawkins

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died unexpectedly in Colombia, was honored with a tribute show at London's Wembley Stadium. Among attendees was Barker, who was a longtime friend of Hawkins. Kardashian joined her husband at the show, posting photos on Instagram of the two at the event.

In three of the photos, Barker and Kardashian walked hand-in-hand wearing rock-inspired looks. The Poosh founder wore a T-shirt with a photo of Hawkins on the front while Barker wore a Judas Priest shirt.

In the comments, Barker thanked Kardashian for her support. "Thank you for joining me on a such a special night 🦅," he wrote. "I love you my wife."

September 12, 2022: Kourtney Kardashian talks about taking Travis Barker's last name

Kardashian discussed changing her last name to Barker while appearing on TODAY. "It was a given. It was just a given," the reality show star told Hoda Kotb, adding that she's made Kardashian her middle name.

She went on to talk about her relationship with Barker, saying, "When it's right, it's right," and added that "working together and like, keeping the communication open" has helped their blended family.

September 29, 2022: Kourtney Kardashian reveals she and Travis Barker "took a break" from IVF

In the second episode of season 2 of The Kardashians, Kris and boyfriend Corey Gamble met with Kardashian and Barker for dinner where they discussed the couple's fertility journey. "What is happening with the scrambled egg?" Kris asked her daughter.

"We don't know," she replied. "We haven't got an answer yet."

In a confessional, Kardashian talked about the couple's fertility process. "After eight months of our IVF [in-vitro fertilization] journey, we took a break and wanted to try things naturally," she said. "The doctors had told us that we still have some really good-looking follicles and that it was the best they've seen."

"Everyone involved, including our natural doctors, felt we should give it one more shot with an IVF retrieval," she later continued. "And so we did one final egg retrieval and we are just waiting on the genetic testing results, but it has made it to an embryo."

Kardashian also told Kris and Gamble that "everything's all good and better than it's ever been. We're just waiting on the testing."

October 4, 2022: Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker continue to live in separate houses after getting married

While chatting with Amanda Hirsch on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Kardashian shared that she and Barker, who live a block away from each other, have yet to merge their households.

"We're in the place where we're figuring out how to blend our households and our kids, and what life looks like now," she said. "For the most part, we're getting those things in place. We do family dinner every Sunday night with all the kids at his house."

While their living situation sounds unconventional, Kardashian and Barker still see each other every morning and evening.

"I get up at six in the morning and I carpool every morning, then I go straight to his house and have a matcha, he has it ready for me, and then we have matcha, talk, hang out and work out together, and then we start our day," she explained, adding that Barker comes to her house every night, no matter what.

Cohabitation often means compromise — and the one thing the couple can't seem to agree on is the temperature of the house. Kardashian loves "to be warm," while Barker is "into air conditioning and freezing."

October 17, 2022: Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker celebrate one-year anniversary of engagement

It's been one year since Barker proposed to Kardashian amid a sea of red roses on a beach in Montecito, California.

The reality star reminisced about the moment she said "yes," on Instagram.

"October 17 ❤️," Kardashian captioned a carousel of engagement photos.

October 31, 2022: Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker dress up as Bride of Chucky characters for Halloween

For Halloween, the newlyweds chose to dress up as another set of lovebirds — Chucky and Tiffany Valentine. Kardashian's costume included a white wedding gown and veil, a black leather jacket and a fake Chucky tattoo. Barker, who carried a fake knife, looked identical to the horror icon in overalls and a striped shirt.

"You got your wish. You're mine now doll. And if you know what's good for you, you are going to love, honor, and obey," Kardashian captioned a series of photos of the couple in costume, to which Barker replied, "Hi. I'm Chucky, wanna play?"

For her second look, the reality star channeled the Bride of Frankenstein in an oversized white dress and a black and white beehive wig. Barker traded his Chucky threads for Frankenstein's gray-green skin and jet-black hair. His look was complete with prosthetic neck bolts and forehead staples.

November 17, 2022: Travis Barker opens up about filming his proposal to Kourtney Kardashian

Barker spoke to GQ about his beachfront proposal to Kardashian, which appeared on an episode of The Kardashians. The drummer revealed that filming the event was Kris' idea and he only agreed to filming the proposal under one condition: "I can't see one camera, and Kourtney cannot see one camera." The camera crew got the job done using Hidden GoPros.

February 14, 2023: Travis Barker celebrates first Valentine's Day married to Kourtney Kardashian

Barker marked his first Valentine's Day married to Kardashian by sharing sweet photos of him and the reality star on Instagram, including snaps of them posing in front of picturesque mountains. He also shared a romantic photo of rose petals in the shape of a heart with their initials in the middle.

"First Valentine's Day with you as my wife. I love you," he wrote in the caption.
