Well, this is a new one.

Kourtney Kardashian told her followers on April 10 that she drank breast milk (presumably her own) because she felt unwell. Most doctors recommend rest and plenty of liquids for the average cold, though I guess drinking one's own breast milk is technically a means of hydrating?

Via Instagram Stories, Kardashian shared a selfie over which she wrote, “I just pounded a glass of breast milk because I feel sick. goodnight!” In the pic, which the 44-year-old took using a “crazy” filter, she flashes a thumbs-up.

The Poosh founder recently welcomed her fourth child, a baby boy named Rocky, with husband Travis Barker. Since giving birth she has given her followers an intimate look at postpartum life, even sharing a photo of herself using a breast pump while in full glam and lingerie.

While experts agree that breast milk benefits your baby's immune system, there isn't an official consensus about breast milk having the same benefits for adults. However, the sampling of breast milk has been a recurring plot line on Keeping Up With the Kardashians over the years, and her younger sister Kim even once tried using Kourtney's breast milk to treat her psoriasis.

Earlier this week Kourtney Kardashian shared a reminder to new moms to be kind to themselves postpartum. “Your body is beautiful at all stages,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself wearing a bikini on a tropical vacation. “During pregnancy as we are glowing and growing, postpartum as we are healing and shrinking, and then that period I find the hardest as our bodies are still adjusting. And if you’re breastfeeding, that’s a whole other part of it…. I try to be kind to myself as my body finds a new normal.”
