Kourtney Kardashian Opens Up About Her Struggles With Her Family's Fame

Living Life In Front Of An Audience

The Kardashian family has lived a majority of their adult lives in front of the camera between Keeping Up With The Kardashians, their other reality shows, and their frequently updated social media. While the family has reaped the rewards of fame and fortune, that kind of transparency to millions can take a toll. The eldest Kardashian, Kourtney, has been the most open about her struggles with her family's fame.

Kourtney Is The Least Comfortable With Fame

Between raising her three children and her off-again-on-again-and-finally-off-for-good relationship with Scott Disik, Kourtney has been through a lot of drama in the public eye. In an interview with The Real, Kourtney was asked about her half-sister Kylie Jenner's status as a billionaire. Kourtney responded:

"Probably subconsciously it makes us feel like, 'When is it enough?'"

"When Is It Enough?"

Kourtney continued, admitting that her extreme fame takes its toll on her immediate family at times:

"… And that’s a thing I always think to myself, ‘When is it enough?’ Because I don’t like missing out on certain things like doing my kids’ homework or certain after-school activities for different things like that."

Kourtney has faced criticism from her sister after she expressed a desire to dial back her television appearances and role in the family businesses in order to spend more time with her family.

Say what you will about the Kardashian klan, but living your life in the spotlight has got to be a tricky thing to balance.
