Kourtney Kardashian is setting the record straight after backlash arose over her kids' access to french fries.

Kourtney Kardashian is addressing claims that she never lets her children eat french fries after fans became outraged earlier this week when she told the Wall Street Journal that she recently refused her son McDonald's fries.

Fans immediately assumed that the reality star, 43, was talking about her eldest son, Mason, 12, and jumped to conclusions that she is too strict when it comes to her kids' eating habits. Now, Kardashian is claiming that her words were taken out of context and that she still lets her children have the fried fast food staple every once in a while.

In a new conversation with Vogue, the mom-of-three provided some much-needed clarification to the french fry debacle that had her fans up in arms, telling the outlet that it was actually her son Reign who asked her for McDonald's fries in the first place.

"It wasn't Mason. I want to clear that up here with you. It was Reign, my 7-year-old," she told Vogue, adding, "We make french fries at home."

"I was walking with Travis [Barker] today and I was like, 'This is so annoying; this is why I don't like doing interviews,'" she stated, noting, "Other outlets then twist it and make it into something else."

She continued, "We're a french fry-loving family, to clear that up...we go to restaurants that have fries."

Kardashian insisted that she only stays away from McDonald's specifically, which is why she said no to her son when he asked for them. "I love to avoid fast food when we can," she added, clearing up the rumors.

The Poosh founder also posted a screenshot of the Vogue interview to her Instagram Story with the french fry story highlighted in an attempt to put an end to the chatter once and for all.

Kardashian—who has long been outspoken about feeding her kids healthy, organic foods—recently announced the launch of her next business venture, a brand of vitamins and supplements called Lemme, which will be available for purchase later this month.
