Korn and Evanescence recently embarked on a co-headlining US tour, which extends through mid September (tickets here). Heavy Consequence photographer Kevin RC Wilson captured photos of the August 28th stop at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York, as seen below.
After opening performances by Jeris Johnson and Palaye Royale, Evanescence took the stage to play a 15-song set, playing several tunes from their most recent album, The Bitter Truth, as well as fan favorites like “My Immortal,” “Call Me When You’re Sober,” and “Bring Me to Life.”
Korn closed out the evening with a 16-song performance, although their lineup may have looked a little less familiar to fans. Guitarist JR Bareis stepped in for James “Munky” Shaffer, who had to miss the gig due to a personal matter. Meanwhile, Suicidal Tendencies bassist Ra Diaz continues to fill in for Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, who is on an extended leave of absence from the band.
Even minus two of their founding members, frontman Jonathan Davis and company delivered an inspired set that showcased a couple songs from their new album, Requiem, while mostly focusing on classics like “Blind,” “Falling Away from Me,” and “Got the Life.” As she’s been doing for the entire outing, Evanescence singer Amy Lee came out to join Korn for their set-closing number “Freak on a Leash.”
