Komesiri, known for his hit “Khun Pan” film trilogy, popular BL series “KinnPorsche” and horror films including “Slice” and “Art of the Devil II.”

The new film, which he also wrote, is pitched as “a spine-chilling horror experience [.. ] that evokes the suspenseful style of Korean cinema, mixed with the renowned Thai style of storytelling.” Production is set to get under way in September, with delivery of the completed picture in the first quarter of 2025.

“Delivery Man” will star ‘Yada’ Narilya Gulmongkolpech, who broke through in GDH’s “The Medium” in 2021. She “brings a unique blend of intensity and authenticity to her roles, enhancing the film’s appeal to both national and international audiences,” said EST N8.

The film is produced by Night Edge Pictures, which will also release it in 2025. The company, which itself is launching “Night Shift” at the Cannes Market, straddles production, sales and distribution. It is known for the Thai releases of elevated horror films like “Speak No Evil” and “Late Night with the Devil,” as well as A24’s 2023 hit “Talk to Me,” which grossed close to $500,000 in Thailand.

“Night Edge started as a distribution and sales company, but will focus on developing and producing our own productions moving forward,” said Hans Audric Estialbo, CEO of the company. “We are excited to bring this title to the international market with EST N8, as we believe we’ve found our star in Yada. With our unique clear-cut focus on genre films, we believe this would be an outstanding project to launch our slate.”

EST N8 is a joint venture between EST Studios and N8. Its Cannes Market sales slate was recently beefed up with a trio of completed Asian titles. They include a Korea actioner that will premiere at Fantasia, a The Philippines from Slamdance, and a Nepalese war drama.

Launched in 2022, by Jaeson Ma and Eric Tu, EST Studios represents Asian content across multiple genres and seeks an annual slate of 15 projects that it can finance, produce and represent.

N8 was founded by Kris Eiamsakulrat and Rachel Wu. Last year it formed a partnership with leading Thai studio GDH559, to co-produce a slate of Thai thriller and horror films aimed at the global audience.
