Netflix dropped the trailer for Season 2 of “The Kominsky Method” Friday, bringing fans of the Alan Arkin and Michael Douglas comedy a tease of the aches and pains the duo will endure on the upcoming season.
In the 2-minute video, which you can view above, Norman (Arkin) and Sandy (Douglas) are attending yet another funeral — which are their age “is called having a social life” — when they run into an old flame from Norman’s past, the lovely Jane Seymour. Suddenly, the gloomy Norm thinks the somber affair was a “great funeral.”
Meanwhile, Sandy isn’t thrilled to find out his daughter is dating a man (played by Paul Reiser) who is too close to him in age for Sandy’s liking.

The sun isn’t setting yet on aging actor slash acting coach Sandy Kominsky and his longtime agent Norman Newlander in the award-winning Netflix comedy series The Kominsky Method. Academy Award® Winners Michael Douglas (Kominsky) and Alan Arkin (Newlander) continue their journey as two friends tackling life’s inevitable curveballs as they navigate their later years in Los Angeles, a city that, above all else, values youth. This season, Sandy meets and bonds with his daughter’s new boyfriend (guest star Paul Reiser) who is uncomfortably close to Sandy’s age.
