Kofi Kingston Defeats Rey Mysterio, Advances In WWE King Of The Ring Tournament

Kofi Kingston moves on.

The King of the Ring tournament began on the May 6 episode of WWE RAW. Gunther, Jey Uso, and Ilja Dragunov all scored wins in the opening round. First-round action in the RAW side of the bracket concluded at the WWE live event on Sunday, May 12. There, former world champions Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston battled it out in a tournament match.

Kingston emerged victorious as he hit Mysterio with Trouble in Paradise.

With the win, Kingston advances to the next round. He will take on Gunther in a quarterfinal match on the May 13 episode of WWE RAW.
