Kobe Bryant passed away in a tragic helicopter accident in the hills outside of Los Angeles, and first responders rushed to the scene to try and save the NBA legend and others onboard.
In pictures from the scene, obtained by The Blast, you can see smoke billowing up from the side of a hillside near Calabassas, CA. Many members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department and LA County Sheriff's officers were on scene trying to help with the accident.

As we reported, Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash at 10 am this morning, after his private aircraft smashed into a hillside in the Calabasas area of Los Angeles.
According to reports, all 5 people on board were killed when the helicopter went down in the early morning fog. The helicopter crashed and then burst into flames making it "difficult for firefighters and emergency personnel to get to the aircraft."

LA Sheriff's will be holding a press conference to address the accident and provide more information to the public about the passengers. "Chief Osby & other authorities will provide details on the tragic helicopter crash that occurred this morning," a tweet read.
Kobe Bryant was known for using his private helicopter to travel back and forth from Orange County where he lives with his family, to Los Angeles.
As you can see in several videos from the scene, the aircraft broke apart into pieces after slamming into the hillside. The fire department has put down the flames, but unfortunately, there were no survivors on scene.
