These Knoxville restaurants will be open on Christmas
Christmas is coming up, but maybe you're not in the mood to cook this Dec. 25. Don't worry, because these East Tennessee and Knoxville restaurants have your back on the festive holiday.
A few restaurants will be open for those visiting Knoxville or if your day is too busy to make a Christmas feast. Go out to eat if you're tired of having the same old holiday dinner again (and tired of doing all those dishes).
As always, we recommend calling ahead and making a reservation if it's accepted. Tip well and be merry!

Applewood Farmhouse Grill and Restaurant
Where: 220 Apple Valley Road and 240 Apple Valley Road.
Special: Annual Christmas dinner featuring Applewood Julep, famous apple fritters, apple butter, vegetable soup, roast prime rib, roast turkey with gravy, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, green beans, buttered corn and more. It will cost $32.99 for adults and $12.99 for kids 10 and under.
When: 10:30 a.m.-8 p.m.

Bravo! Italian Kitchen
Where: 106 Major Reynolds Plaza.
Special: Regular menu at Bravo! Italian Kitchen. The restaurant offers holiday catering, too.

Calhoun's Restaurants
Where: Every Calhoun's location
The Original at 10020 Kingston Pike
Tennessee River at 400 Neyland Drive
Bearden Hill at 6515 Kingston Pike
Turkey Creek at 625 Turkey Cove Lane
Lenoir City at 4550 City Park Drive
Pigeon Forge at 2532 Parkway
Gatlinburg at 1004 Parkway
Maryville at 751 Watkins Rd.
Oak Ridge at 100 Melton Lake Pennisula
Special: Seven locations will serve the full menu, but Lenoir City and Oak Ridge will be buffet only.
When: Calhoun's will be open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. at the Original, Tennessee River, Bearden Hill, Turkey Creek and Maryville locations. It will be open 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Finally, it will be open 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. in Lenoir City and Oak Ridge.
Reservations: Can be made by calling any of the locations or online after selecting a location at calhouns.com/locations.
Chesapeake's
Where: All three Chesapeake's will be open: west Knoxville at 9630 Parkside Drive, downtown at 415 Locust St. and Gatlinburg at 437 Parkway.
Specials: Downtown and Gatlinburg will serve the full menu, but west Knoxville will only serve a buffet.
When: West Knoxville will be open 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m., downtown is open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Gatlinburg is open 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m.

Copper Cellar
Where: 7316 Kingston Pike.
Specials: Copper Cellar will serve a holiday buffet only.
When: 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Reservations: Call 865-673-3422 or go online at coppercellar.com.
Corner16
Where: 1640 Bob Kirby Road and 9637 Kroger Park Drive.
Specials: Both locations will serve the full menu.
When: 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Reservations: Can be made at both locations by calling or visiting corner16.com/locations and picking one of the two restaurants.
Oliver Royale
Where: 5 Market Square.
Specials: The restaurant will host Christmas Day at Oliver Royale. It features a set menu with three courses, including options like French onion soup, pork osso bucco, whole grilled branzino and mint chocolate chip pie. The set price is $79 per person.
When: 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Reservations: Walk-ins are accepted, but reservations made by calling or online at oliverroyale.com/events are recommended.
Schulz Brau Brewing Company
Where: 126 Bernard Ave.
Specials: Christmas dinner plate featuring ham, green bean casserole, loaded and buttery mashed potatoes, buttermilk biscuit, creamy corn pudding and a slice of pecan pie.
When: 3-11 p.m.
Reservations: Walk-ins only on a first come, first serve basis.
Smoky Mountain Brewery
Where: Four locations: Turkey Creek at 11308 Parkside Drive, Maryville at 743 Watkins Road, Pigeon Forge at 2530 Parkway and Gatlinburg at 1004 Parkway.
Specials: The full menu will be available.
When: Turkey Creek and Maryville locations will be open 2:30-9 p.m., while Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg will be open 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
Reservations: Walk-ins only.
Waffle House
Where: Drive around for more than five minutes and you'll stumble across one.
Specials: The classic Waffle House menu.
When: All day, every day.
Reservations: It's Waffle House. So no.
