‘I Was Known As The Girl Whose Mother Had Slept With A Student’
Stephanie and Danie say that growing up, their mom, Kami, was the “perfect” suburban mother and their biggest supporter.

But they say all that changed 11 years ago.
“When I was 16 years old, my mother had an affair with a teenage friend of mine,” Stephanie says. “This was a very public event. Everyone at my high school knew. All of my friends knew. I was known as the girl whose mother had slept with a student.”

She says her mom was found guilty and spent time in jail. And, it came to light that Kami was also abusing drugs.
