Known for giant tenderloin sandwiches, this longtime Galesburg restaurant and bar is closing

GALESBURG — Longtime popular dining and drinking establishment Sully's Pub is apparently closing at the end of business Sunday.

Matt Bernardi, who owns Sully's with his brother Brad Bernardi, announced the closing of the 1075 N. Henderson St. establishment on Friday afternoon via a post on the restaurant Facebook page.

The post read:

"My brother Brad and myself are at the end of an incredible ride at SULLYS PUB in Galesburg. This business brought us to the community and we have been so lucky to have meet so many incredible customers over the past 18 years. We want to thank our amazing staff in the back and front of the house who have allowed us to be successful. The future of SULLYS PUB is unknown but this will be my final weekend operating this business as its owner. We look forward to continuing to serve the community at our SIDETRAX location downtown."
