Taylor Swift is at it again with another album rerelease. This time it’s “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” — when the original album came out in 2014, it was considered Swift’s full transition from country to pop.

Why is Taylor Swift re-releasing her first six albums?

In 2018, Swift discovered her music catalog had been sold to music executive Scooter Braun and made public she was not consulted about the sale. When the new owners refused to grant her ownership of her music, she decided to rerecord each of the six albums that were originally under that label.

When will Taylor Swift’s ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ re-release be available?

“1989 (Taylor’s Version)” will be made available on streaming platforms, YouTube, CDs and vinyls worldwide on Oct. 27 at 10 p.m. MDT. She will have an exclusive tangerine vinyl edition of “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” available at Target.
