What We Know About Scheana Shay’s Hookup With John Mayer
Never doubt Scheana Shay’s ability to worm an idea into your head, which makes you stop and take stock. This is precisely what happened during the last episode of Vanderpump Rules when she pretty much spelled out that she hooked up with famed musician John Mayer. Scheana has done a lot of questionable things in her life. She has tortured us with her bop, Good as Gold, during every SUR pride week, played teacher’s pet to Lisa Vanderpump, and even tried to make Scandoval about her. But this newest revelation has us all scratching our heads, and personally, I want to know what exactly went down.
During a rousing game of truth or dare with the gang, some naughty questions started being asked, so when one about orgies came up, most assumed nobody would be taking a drink. But low and behold, Scheana had a few surprises up her sleeve, and she giggled and took a sip. I’m not saying Scheana is a liar, but she has had a pretty interesting and fulfilled life with some pretty out-of-this-world stories. Some people just have all the luck when it comes to once-in-a-lifetime moments.
Dear John
I can’t imagine Brock Davies was thrilled to hear that his wife had bedded the Room for Squares singer at one point in her life. Scheana is great at dropping tiny bombs that will leave your mind blown, and she did just that on the most recent episode, where she hinted at an orgy with John stating, “Once upon a time, my body was a wonderland. I’ll just say that.” Oh God, I cringed after hearing that. This isn’t the first time that Scheana has brought up John’s name. On an Amazon Live in 2023, the Apples singer revealed that she had bumped into John back in 2008 while working at Grand Havana Room, a members-only club that her father owned.
Scheana shared, via Us Weekly, “He was John Mayer and wanted to hang out. Long story short … I got fired.” Scheana went on to claim that he had asked for her phone number and that he was dating Jennifer Aniston at the time. In 2020, while speaking on the Flashbacks podcast, Scheana revealed she was in a throuple with John, noting, “I was living with Stacie Adams at the time. We hung out for about six months. We would go to his house in Calabasas, or Hidden Hills, whatever it’s called. It just became, you know, kind of the three of us. We had a little throuple going on.” The hookup ended when Scheana began to get less attention and became jealous.
John is a playboy
Okay, so I am not going to name all the women John has dated or slept with because if I did, I’d be here for days, but a few pop to mind, including Jessica Simpson (the brunette years), Katy Perry, Jennifer, and Taylor Swift. The man loves women and isn’t always the best at treating them right. The Gravity singer rode the sex wave for years, but the rockstar lifestyle eventually caught up with him. I mean, we all remember his tell-all Playboy interview where he compared intercourse with Jessica to “sexual napalm.” Not exactly the guy I’d want to bring home to my parents, but Scheana is Scheana; we’ve had worse from her.
The mother of one is no angel herself, as fans will recall the drama of her sleeping with Eddie Cibrian. In 2013, Scheana revealed she met Eddie seven years prior, in 2006, when she was 21 and single. The young SUR server had no idea the actor was still very much married to Brandi Glanville and found out after six months of dating. Scheana ended the fling but got back together with him, but that only lasted a few months.
Luckily, Scheana seems pretty settled in her life now with Brock. The two have a beautiful daughter and a good life. Though I guess if she ever wants to spice things up in the bedroom, she could technically always give John a ring. I’m sure he’d come running if the opportunity presented itself.
