Connor Noland has been a part of the Arkansas athletics program since 2018, including for the baseball and football teams, during his career. Noland has been an important part of the pitching staff this season, going 7-5 with a 3.86 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 100.1 innings.

Here are three things to know about Noland:

Noland played football at Arkansas

Before ever stepping on the mound for the Razorbacks, Noland stepped on the football field. In his freshman season in 2018, Noland played in four football games for Arkansas, including one start.  Noland was a four-star quarterback coming out of high school and was ranked No. 243 overall in the ESPN 300 rankings.

Impressive freshman season

After taking off the pads and getting back on the mound, Noland put together an impressive freshman baseball season. He appeared in 20 games, including 19 starts. He went 3-5 with a 4.02 ERA and was selected a Perfect Game Freshman All-American and to the SEC All-Freshman Team.

Has postseason experience

With the Razorbacks back in the postseason, they are grateful to have a pitcher like Noland with some experience on the mound in these big games. He has pitched in SEC Tournament championships and has been in NCAA regionals. In his freshman season, Noland pitched in 10.1 innings n the NCAA Fayetteville Regional.

What's next?

Arkansas will be back in action at 6 p.m. CT Saturday against Stanford at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.
