What to know about Arkansas baseball's Braydon Webb before the College World Series

Braydon Webb has been a reliable presence in center field for Arkansas baseball. Webb is tied for first on the team in home runs with 15 and fourth on the team in RBIs with 40.

Here are three things to know about Webb:

Switched numbers from No. 8 to No. 24 for his senior season

For the first three seasons of his career at Arkansas, Webb donned the No. 8 on his uniform. This season, in his senior year, Webb has changed his jersey to No. 24 for his final season in a Razorback baseball uniform.

Attended junior college before Arkansas

Before he was impacting the Arkansas baseball program, Webb played at Grayson Community College. Webb was a NJCAA First Team All-American in his sophomore year in 2019. Webb's numbers popped off the page as he ranked seventh in hits and second in doubles in the JUCO ranks.

Super Regional play helped lead Razorbacks to CWS

In his senior season with Arkansas, Webb has been a big part of the success the Razorbacks have had in making the College World Series. In the Chapel Hill Super Regional against North Carolina, Webb had four hits and two RBIs and hit a crucial home run in Game 2to help send Arkansas to Omaha.

What's next?

Webb and Arkansas will be back in action on at 6 p.m. Saturdayagainst Stanford at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha.
