See some cool and antique rides at the HFM Harbor Town Car and Motorcycle Show!

This family-friendly event has music, food and will give out trophies to the best entries. It will be held at HFM Harbor Town campus, 1650 S. 41st St., Manitowoc.

The show is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 2 and supports veterans’ suicide awareness. Learn more at https://www.hfmhealth.org/carshow.

3. Fly Kites Over Lake Michigan

Be amazed at all the incredible kite displays at Kites Over Lake Michigan!

Located at Two Rivers High School, 4519 Lincoln Ave., Two Rivers, this is one of the most visually appealing events you’ll go to all year.

The full event is 11 a.m.-4 p.m. both Sept. 2 and 3. There will be aerial and ground kite performances both days with a free kite-making station for kids from 9 to 11 a.m. on Sept. 3.

4. Visit the Downtown Manitowoc Farmers' Market

While it’s been going on all summer long, the Downtown Manitowoc Farmers' Market is now full of end-of-summer produce.

Make plans to stop by for delicious seasonal baked goods, artisan crafts, fruit and vegetables, and more.

5. Paddle the Manitowoc River in the moonlight

There’s nothing quite as serene as a full moon lighting up the peaceful Manitowoc River at night with the city lights in the distance.

See this beautiful view at the Moonlight Paddle at 8:15 p.m. Aug. 31. The event is held by the Friends of Manitowoc River Watershed and invites people to bring their own kayak, SUP or canoe to Lower Henry Schuette Park (3800 Broadway) to launch and paddle the river up to the YMCA, 205 Maritime Drive.

There is no registration, but lifejackets are required.
