Kingsport Chamber hosts annual BrewHaHa event with comedy, craft beer and more

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Kingsport Chamber hosted the annual BrewHaHa event at the Meadowview Marriott on Friday.

Kingsport Chamber BrewHaha welcomed three national comedians to entertain the audience with comedy-club-style material while numerous restaurants served pizza and craft beer for attendees to enjoy.

News Channel 11 spoke with Stephanie Hernandez, Kingsport Chamber Membership Events Director.

“This is BrewHaHa,” Hernandez said. “This is a six-year that we’ve had BrewHaHa. We get three nationally recognized comedians to come and do a performance. Local pizza vendors throughout the Tri-Cities come and set up and compete for the best pizza in the Tri-Cities. And we also get breweries from the Tri-Cities to come in and set up and let us sample some of their great.”

Hernandez said the event grows larger each year.

“This is wonderful,” she said. This is a record number. In the past, we’ve capped out at about 500. This year, we’re sitting at about 800. So this event keeps growing and growing because it’s very popular and it’s a casual jeans, t-shirt type of event. So much fun. Pizza, beer in Laughs.”

All attendees at the BrewHaHa were aged 21 and up.
