King of the Hill Reboot is an upcoming adult-animated sitcom slated to stream on Hulu. It serves as a reboot of King of the Hill, which originally aired on Fox between 1997 and 2009, with four additional episodes airing through syndication. The reboot takes place years after the original series, revolving around a much older Hank Hill. If you are wondering when King of the Hill is coming out, this is what we have discovered.

Here’s all the King of the Hill Reboot release date information we know so far, and all the details on when it is coming out.

Is there a King of the Hill Reboot release date?

The King of the Hill Reboot release date could arrive by early 2024.

Conversations about a potential King of the Hill reboot have circulated since 2017, with the series co-creators Judge and Daniels showing an active interest in such a project. In January 2022, they announced the launch of the animation company Bandera Entertainment. The reboot was one of the projects that the company focused on developing. Fox decided to pass on the reboot as the production company would not have its full ownership. In January 2023, Hulu officially became the streaming network for the reboot.

Speaking to TV Line in November 2023, Daniels revealed that they had begun working on the project before the Hollywood strikes. After the writers’ strike concluded, the series creators and the writing staff resumed work and began “rewriting the third episode or the fourth episode and getting notes on the first episode.” Daniels added, “Yeah, it’s chugging along,” and offered “the beginning of 2025” as a tentative release period.

This date is an estimation based on the information we have at the time of this writing.

In the upcoming reboot, several members of the original voice cast will reprise their roles, including Mike Judge as Hank Hill, Kathy Najimy as Peggy Hil, Pamela Adlon as Robert Jeffrey “Bobby” Hill, Stephen Root as Bill Dauterive, Lauren Tom as Connie Souphanousinphone, and more. Johnny Hardwick, writer-producer of the original series and voice actor behind Dale Gribble, was part of the reboot until his passing in August 2023. Additionally, Marwan Naj is part of the cast as Muhammad.
