King Charles III and Queen Camilla have made their first joint public appearance since the publication of Prince Harry's memoir, Spare.

The couple visited Bolton, a large town in Greater Manchester in North West England, this Friday, and immersed themselves in the culture.

The king and queen consort were welcomed at the town hall by representatives from the community and crowds of excited fans waving flags along Victoria Square. They then got to enjoy a lively performance from the Polonez folk dance group, before doing a walkabout to greet and chat with locals.

For the outing, the king looked elegant in a navy suit, white dress shirt, light pink tie, and black dress shoes, and stayed warm with a long black coat. Camilla wore a breezy blue-and-white patterned dress, over which she layered a beige coat and white-and-beige scarf. Her knee-high beige boots matched her coat, and she further accessorized with a brown handbag, brown gloves, and gold hoop earrings.

Among their various engagements in Bolton was a stop at the headquarters of cereal manufacturer Kellogg's, which today marks its 100th anniversary in Manchester. Kellogg's is the largest cereal factory in Europe and biggest Corn Flake factory in the world. King Charles was seen speaking to staff on the cornflakes production line during his visit.

King Charles has not addressed the news of his youngest son's explosive memoir, Spare, which was released on January 10, in which he, Camilla, and many royal family members are exposed and accused of planting negative stories about one another to the British press. In the book, Harry insists his father and stepmother are to blame for more than a few leaked stories about himself, wife Meghan Markle, brother Prince William, and Princess Kate.

Harry said in his sit-down interviews that he has not spoken to William or his father in some time, but hopes they are both willing to repair their relationship with him in the near future.
