Kimora Lee Simmons says that once Russell Simmons came for their daughter, it was "game over."

Opening up about her public feud with the former Def Jam Recording executive earlier this summer in an interview with Bustle, the Baby Phat CEO, 48, said she knew daughter Aoki Lee, 21, was "telling the truth" in her accusations against her father.

Aoki posted a video of Russell seemingly yelling at her over FaceTime. "This is not someone who will accept help. This is just one screen recording. Sorry, I don’t always remember to press 'record' when he calls my friends, my boyfriend, anyone, to get a chance to threaten and curse and go crazy," the recent Harvard grad wrote at the time, sharing the concern that her father is "mentally ill or experiencing something like dementia."

"He really acts like he hates and does not know his children frequently," she said.

As fans took to Aoki's comments with their support for Russell, 65, the mogul mom supported her daughter behind the scenes and online.

"Some people were like, 'Oh, how spoiled does she sound, that you are never going to work again, that your dad has to go get you everything?' " Kimora told the outlet. "[But] she wasn't saying, 'My dad has to go get me everything.' She was saying, 'My dad has threatened to cancel everything that he could because they were his friends and because he was the more popular one or powerful one and that's wrong.'"

Kimora, who is also mom to Wolfe, 8, Gary, 13, Kenzo, 14, says she wants better for her kids than her experience early on, where she "just sat there quietly and I took things."

"I don't have to do that," she said, noting that Russell overstated his role in their daughters — Aoki and Ming Lee, 23.

"At the end of the day, you go to bed, you're with yourself. You have to be proud of the steps you've made and definitely not let somebody bully you or push you over ... I don't care if that's your dad, your uncle, your friend, someone you don't know, we're not going to have it," Kimora leveled.

Not only has the fashion icon not spoken to her ex-husband in a few years, but she calls herself a "single mom" and said she doesn't co-parent with any of her kids' fathers.

"It looks like, ‘Well, it's all you, all fingers point to you, lady. You're the one.’ I guess it is me, but I think it has more to do with my personality or my stance in society. Something about powerful men and how they really appear to be powerful and big and this and that. But they're nursing an ego inside of there. Not just these men, any men," Kimora shared.

"Men, powerful men, famous men, rich men, business rich men, whatever you want to call it. There's a thing there and I don't know what it is, but I don't really have a great relationship with any of them and they've left me to it to just kind of do things on my own. I do everything on my own. Like I say, I'm a single mom.”

She is proud of the way each of her kids are growing and coming into their own, noting, "No mirror could be clearer than your kids."

"I'm great. My mirror is great, sparkly," she said. "My kids have really made me proud.” She even joked that her sons, "know how to take all of your social media pictures so they got the Instagram boyfriend thing down for when they get into that.”

"They're just good boys and they're sensitive, and they know that it's OK to be sensitive sometimes," she added.
