Kimmel and Colbert draw same conclusion after Trump sides with Putin

After Donald Trump's widely criticized meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, late night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert had a lot to say. Trump spoke very highly of both Putin and the Russian government, and the late night hosts shared the suspicion that it might have something to do with a certain video. Over on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host noticed that Trump winked at Putin just before the press conference. Kimel joked, "That's the 'Thanks for keeping that tape between us guys wink.'" The FBI, CIA, Department of Justice, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, and even the President's own Director of National Intelligence agreed that Russia meddled with the 2016 election. Trump however chose to side with Putin instead of his own country. One journalist came right out and asked Putin, "Does the Russian government have any compromising material on President Trump or his family?" Putin simply answered the question with a laugh. Over on The Late Show, Colbert interpreted the laugh to mean, "I'm sorry, I was just remembering funny video I saw of Mr. Trump. I don't want to say what it was, but it was pee-pee tape." Kimmel couldn't have agreed more with Colbert's conclusion, saying, "If you're wondering whether or not Vladimir Putin has an incriminating video of Donald Trump, we now know beyond a treasonable doubt he does." The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel Live air weeknights at 11:35 p.m on their respective channels, CBS and ABC.
