Kim Young-Dae’s Moon in the Day Episode 12 Recap & Spoilers: Did Pyo Ye-Jin End Her Life?

Starring Kim Young-Dae and Pyo Ye-Jin, Moon in the Day episode 12 aired on Thursday on ENA. The K-drama’s storyline sees Kang Young-Hwa making a difficult decision in order to keep her loved ones safe.

In episode 11, Young-Hwa (Pyo Ye-Jin) found out that she killed Do Ha in the past. The new episode begins with her telling him that she cannot be by his side after learning the truth. Do Ha tries to stop her and is concerned for her safety.

After her best friend gets hospitalized, Chul-Hwan manipulates Young-Hwa into believing that she is the reason why people around her are hurt. Following which, she decides to end her life to save others in Moon in the Day episode 12.

Moon in the Day episode 12 ending: Do Ha saves Young-Hwa & shares first kiss

Moon in the Day episode 12 was quite intense. Chul-Hwan brainwashes Jung Yi-Seul, who pushes Young-Hwa in front of a moving vehicle. Young-Hwa’s best friend, Na-Yeon, saves her and gets badly hurt.

Pyo Ye-Jin’s character is devastated and puzzled. She tells Do Ha that they should stay away from each other because of their cursed fate. He tries to convince her that he will protect her and her loved ones and won’t go rogue. For context, Young-Hwa’s past version, Ha Ri-Ta, killed Do Ha because he murdered innocent soldiers to protect her.

When Chul-Hwan fails to harm Young-Hwa because of her talisman, he plays with her mind and convinces her that she is the reason behind all the incidents. As a result, she believes that her death may save her loved ones. She bids farewell to everyone and leaves a goodbye note for Do Ha. The latter realizes Young-Hwa’s plan after meeting Chul-Hwan in Moon in the Day episode 12. However, it is to be noted that Do Ha’s evil father, So Ri-Bu, currently possesses Chul-Hwan.

Kim Young-Dae’s character reaches the Han River at the right time as Young-Hwa is about to jump in it. He stops her from ending her life and confesses his love for her. As he gives her a back hug, she states that she wants to live with him like this. The episode simultaneously shows a flashback scene when Ha Ri-Ta stops Do Ha from leaving her.

At the end of Moon in the Day episode 12, Do Ha and Young-Hwa have an emotional and heartfelt reunion. He says, “I will make sure to change our fate.” The episode ends with the lead characters’ first kiss.

Moon in the Day airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays on ENA and Viki.
