Kim Kardashian Was “Totally Exhausted” by Her Relationship With Pete Davidson, Apparently

ICYMI: The era of Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson being a ~thing~ has, tragically, come to an end.
News of the split broke abruptly Friday, with E! News reporting that after nine glorious months together and while maintaining “a lot of love and respect for each other,” Kim and Pete had decided to end their romance.
The breakup, which came just days after headlines about how Kim and Pete were “still obsessed with each other” and even open to having kids together, understandably left some fans feeling more than a little blindsided and mentally screaming, Whyyyyyyyy?!?! into the void. According to the initial report from E! News, it sounded like the pair fell victim to the most classic of celebrity romance ruiners, long-distance and busy schedules (E!’s source said actually the combination of those exact things “made it really difficult to maintain a relationship”).
According to a new report from Page Six, however, it sounds like there might have been more to the demise of Kim and Pete’s ’ship.
“Pete is 28 and Kim is 41—they are just in very different places at the moment,” a source close to the former couple said, adding that personality differences also played a role in the split. “Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York or wherever he is on a moment’s notice, but Kim has four kids and it isn’t that easy. She needs to focus on the kids.”
And according to the Page Six source, that focus on the kids was made more difficult during her relationship with Pete because of Kim’s ex Kanye West.
“When Kim is with someone else, Kanye can cause problems with the kids. He tries to divide and conquer. He can’t help it,” the source explained. “Kim is a really dedicated mother, and her kids will always come first. She wants and needs harmony at home and in her life.”
On top of ^^^ all that ^^^, the source added that Kim (who is an infamously busy human even if you don’t factor in romance at all) was “totally exhausted by this relationship and other things going on in her life.”
Which…oof. I mean, totally understandable given the demands of starring in a reality show/running multiple businesses/studying to become a lawyer/co-parenting as a mom of four/everything else Kim does, but still…big oof.
