On top of launching SKIMS Men earlier last week, Kim Kardashian has just announced the ultimate brand partnership, making SKIMS the official underwear partner of the NBA, WNBA, and USA Basketball. Yes, that is correct.

Together, they are gearing up to leverage the power of sports to generate demand around the new SKIMS product lines, and the NBA and WNBA as a whole. Though details of the partnership have yet to be confirmed, fans can expect to see the SKIMS’ footprint very soon at key marquee events, including the NBA All-Star and the NBA In-Season Tournaments.

SKIMS, the multibillion-dollar company launched by Kardashian in 2019, has quickly grown to cult status within a short number of years. Established as a shapewear company with the mission to “provide solutions for every body,” it has since expanded its offerings to an assortment of underwear, clothing and loungewear, and most recently, the SKIMS Men line.
Earlier this year, SKIMS also debuted award-winning singer and songwriter SZA as the front of their “Fits Everybody” campaign, followed by artists Ice Spice, Nessa Barrett, and Pinkpantheress only a month later. On top of leveraging these artists’ fanbase, the goal was to “truly reflect our SKIMS community,” as Kardashian states.
The progression towards the world of sports is natural for the brand, which debuted its SKIMS Men line earlier last week, fronting NBA star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, NFL lineman Nick Bosa, and Brazilian soccer player Neymar Jr. in the new campaign. Until the newsbreak of the current NBA partnership, SKIMS Men campaign was one of the most prominent conversations online.
